Movie 2
OK, so I had a bout of insomnia - so I've implemented the daily movie. The link is under the Archive link over on the left panel. It may need a day or two to settle into the stride.

Movie
I've been experimenting with making movies using the files saved by the Barn Cam. Now, I hardly have enough time for important things in my average day, so making movies manually would be a non-starter.
One of the many great things about Linux is the ability to script just about anything. Some digging about on the net, and late night experimentation has yielded some results. I have a command line script that can take the days jpegs and make an mpeg movie from them. Here's a test one - movie - it's a 4mb download so not too bad in todays broadband world. The sequence is of the 29th December, watch a warm front push up from the South.
Once I get enough time, I'll hook this into a daily upload with a "Today's Movie" link - watch this space!

Merry Christmas
First snow of the season, just three days before Christmas. Looks pretty, but I'd better not cycle to the gym today.
